All Charlotte Fire evacuees allowed home

All evacuees of the Charlotte Fire are finally going back home, as the blaze was 80 percent contained as of 9 p.m. Sunday night.

Officials announced in a meeting Sunday evening in Pocatello that all residents will be allowed back into their neighborhoods, although ID will be required until Monday night.

Mayor Brian Blad urging people to be aware of possible fraud with contractors and restoration crews as they rebuild damaged areas.

The Lion’s Club will have forms at the Clarion Inn Monday morning to apply for grant money for those whose homes have been destroyed.

Only two fireworks violations were reported Sunday, but aggressive enforcement on using them will continue.

The Bannock County Humane Society still has plenty dog and cat food and room for pets.
