Jackson history museum gets ‘Modern Family’ items

Producers of ABC’s “Modern Family” program have donated scripts and costumers from the show’s filming in Jackson Hole last August to the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum.

The show’s 2011 season premiere was filmed at Lost Creek Ranch, and aired Sept. 21. The town and county rallied to entice the show into filming in Jackson Hole last summer. The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board gave $70,000 from lodging tax revenues to offset production costs.

Museum officials say some of the pieces are being auctioned as a fundraiser, and others will be kept for the museum collection.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that all proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum.
