Fontenelle Fire 16% contained

The Fontenelle fire in the Bridger-Teton National Forest continues to grow, but at a slower pace.

The fire, which started June 24, has now burned more than 57,000 acres.

More than 800 people are fighting it. Firefighters continue to work in hotspots and build a perimeter. It is now 16 percent contained.

A public town hall meeting will be held in Kemmerer on Saturday to share information with the community. That meeting will be held at the SouthLincoln Training and Events Center at 215 Wyoming Highway 233 at 7 p.m.

Area leaders and fire managers will shar3e information and take questions from the public.
