Principal arrested in restaurant burglary

An Idaho Falls principal is in jail after deputies say he broke into an Ammon business.

Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Bonneville County deputies responded to the Cellar Restaurant on 17th Street in Ammon for an alarm.

They found a broken window on the second floor. Several things were on the ground that appeared to be from inside the business.

According to a news release, Terry Rothamer, 45, of Idaho Falls, was found hiding in the bushes outside the restaurant.

The principal of White Pine Charter School was booked into Bonneville County Jail on a charge of burglary.
