Great Falls sneaks past Idaho Falls in extra innings
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — The Idaho Falls Chukars couldn’t hang onto a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth as the Greybirds drop a 7-4 decision in 11 innings to the Great Falls Voyagers.
Idaho Falls has now lost three in a row to Great Falls at Melaleuca Field.
Abe Ruiz doubled in the top of the ninth for the Voyagers to bring home Brent Tanner, tying the game at four. Great Falls then scored three runs in the top of the 11th to take home the victory.
The loss gives starting pitcher Zeb Sneed his fifth no-decision of the year. Sneed went six innings, striking out nine on. Sneed walked two and gave up two runs, one earned, on two hits.
The Chukars and Voyagers close their four-game series Tuesday night at Melaleuca Field.
