“30 Days, 30 Questions” No. 29
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Sports Line’s segment, “30 Days, 30 Questions” continued Thursday night with question No. 29.
“Which team will win the 5A district title?”
Landers picked Highland High School to win the district in 2012. With quarterback Neil Jewell, wide receiver Tanner Tingey and running back Michael Beseris all returning for their senior season, the Rams could be explosive on the offensive side of the Ball. The Rams also recorded two shutouts last season with four more games of giving up 14 points or less. If the defense continues to play at that high level, Highland should be hard to beat in 2012.
The 5A schools also get a second bid to state. Landers selected newcomer Hillcrest to earn that bid, saying the Knights could easily start the season 3-0 before facing Bonneville in the Civil War September 14. Running back Caden Neuererburg returns for the Knights as one of the best backs in all of Idaho.
