Museum of Idaho expects 1 millionth visitor

The Museum of Idaho is getting ready to welcome a very special guest, and it could be anyone.

Museum staff are expecting their 1 millionth visitor, who could show up at any time in the next couple of weeks.

This comes during the museum’s year-long celebration of their 10th anniversary. It’s a milestone that museum staff are not taking lightly.

“Think (of) what it means to bring in a million people, not just from Idaho Falls, but from surrounding areas and the intermountain west,” said Britni Storer, the museum’s marketing director. “I mean, how many businesses in Idaho Falls can boast that they have a million visitors?”

The millionth visitor will win a three-night trip to Chicago, where they’ll get city passes to the city’s biggest attractions. One of those attractions is the field museum, which is where the “T. Rex Named Sue” exhibit was first curated.
