Nampa pair arrested in Idaho Falls on drug charges

Two Nampa residents were arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver at Motel 6 in Idaho Falls early Thursday morning. Idaho Falls police identified the suspects as 22-year-old Kyle Dean Hartwig and 20-year-old Donna M. Gillespie.

According to police reports, officers were called to investigate a strong smell of marijuana coming from a room in the motel on West Broadway at 11:30 pm Wednesday. They determined the couple were in possession of illegal drugs.

Officers found 26 grams of methamphetamine, a bag of marijuana and an electric scale in their room.
