Collision involving 3 cars sends 2 to hospital

A three-car collision on the intersection of County Line Road and 3400 East sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries.

Bonneville County officials said a driver ran a stop sign and was hit by two vehicles at that intersection. The driver didn’t sustain any injuries.

One of the drivers was life-flighted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the third car involved was sent to to the hospital by ambulance.

None of the drivers names have been released.

Officials said this accident could have easily been avoided.

“Drive safe. Stop signs are there for a reason, not because we don’t have anything else to do,” said Deputy Bryan Summers. “Drive safe and obey the traffic laws.”

Summers said the driver who caused the accident will be cited for failure to yield.
