Woman attempts to hit husband with van, say police

An Idaho Falls woman was arrested Saturday night after police said she tried to hit her husband with a minivan.

Teresa Furniss, 33, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery.

Police responded to the 200 block of E Street around 9:45 p.m. for a disturbance in progress. Officers arrived and spoke with Travis Furniss, 31, who told police that he was speaking to another woman when his wife, Teresa Furniss, started driving at him in her minivan.

He jumped out of the way and the van struck a parked red Pontiac car that the other woman was sitting in.

Teresa Furniss then got out of the van and began hitting the other woman, police said.
