Fort Hall fire under control

A fire was burning in Fort Hall in the 1600 block of C Avenue off Sheepskin late Tuesday afternoon.

Angelo Gonzalez, a Fort Hall spokesperson, said one mobile home has been destroyed, as well as two to three sheds, in the fire . The blaze was under control by about 5:30 p.m.

Smoke could be seen from the surrounding area.

The Red Cross says the 85-year-old man who lived in the home lost everything in the fire. They are giving him clothes and food. He will be staying with family, according to the Red Cross.

No one was hurt, Gonzalez said. About a quarter-mile radius was blocked.

The cause of the fire is unavailable.
