Man’s body found in river
Crews have found the body of a man who jumped into the Snake River.
Gerald Wilkinson, 76, of Idaho Falls, jumped off the Pancheri bridge Thursday morning. A witness said Wilkinson was driving across the bridge and stopped midway, blocking traffic. He then jumped into the river. Various agencies have been searching for the body since.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho Falls Fire Department pulled Wilkinson’s body out of the water Monday at 9 a.m. near South Tourist Park.
