A local juvenile detention center getting ready for a big expansion.
The 3-B center in Idaho Falls will break ground on a 1,000 square-foot addition in the next couple of weeks.
That addition will include extra office space for employees and a conference room.
Counseling will no longer have to take place in the front lobby.
3-B houses juvenile offenders from Bonneville, Butte and Bingham counties, but will pay for the $211,000 expansion through fees paid to them for housing offenders from other parts of Idaho.
