Sheriff: Man caught stealing copper pipe

A Rigby man was arrested after the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said he stole copper pipe.

At 4:40 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to a call of a burglary of construction trailers at Bundy Plumbing at 14th North in Bonneville County.

The owner reported that a man was caught taking copper pipe and other items from the enclosed trailers. The locks were missing from three trailers. He provided a vehicle description of a white truck leaving the area.

Deputies located the truck at Kearney and Woodruff in Idaho Falls. It was driven by Michael Shane Fox, 40. He was arrested on charges of felony burglary and possession of burglary tools. Deputies located a pair of bolt cutters, a hacksaw and wire cutters in the truck.

The items stolen were worth $6,000 to $10,000 and that they have not yet been recovered, Bundy Plumbing said.
