Rexburg police investigate computer-generated bomb threat

Rexburg police blocked off a section of Main Street for about an hour Wednesday while they investigated a bomb threat at the Melaleuca call center. The street was reopened at around 1:15 p.m.

The call center took the call earlier in the morning, but did not contact police until around 12:15 p.m.

Capt. Randy Lewis said the threat was apparently computer generated and delivered in Spanish.There was no actual threat to the business.

The call center was not evacuated.Melalueca officials said they had received similar threats from what they thought was the same individual in the past.
