Police use pepper spray to nab battery suspect

Idaho Falls said they had to use pepper spray to get a suspect to come out from under a trailer.

A female reported being beaten by Christopher Hollis, 18, on March 8 at the 300 block of West 19th. On Friday at 10 p.m., officers learned Hollis was possibly at a home on the 2100 block of Evans. When they made contact with Hollis, he ran from the home.

Police chased Hollis and found him hiding under a trailer in the 800 block of Singletree. Police said Hollis refused to comply with the officers’ commands to come out, so they used pepper spray to get him out from under the trailer.

Hollis was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and resisting an officer, as well as four city misdemeanor warrants and two Bonneville County misdemeanor warrants, police said Monday. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
