Jefferson County boy in critical condition after motorcycle crash

A 16-year-old Jefferson County boy sustained head injuries and multiple broken bones when his motorcycle was struck by a car Thursday night.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the boy failed to yield as he drove his Yamoto GY 200 motorcycle out of a driveway and into the path of a northbound, 2013 Chevrolet CRZ.

The boy was transported by Air Idaho to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. His condition was listed as critical but stable Thursday night. He was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at 281 North 4500 East (Idaho Highway 48).
