Police: Man steals, sells video games

Idaho Falls police arrested a man they said was caught stealing and selling video games.

Police were dispatched to Walmart on Utah Avenue around 3 p.m. Friday in reference to a person allegedly stealing video games and then selling them at the nearby Game Stop store.

While officers searched for Jerry Perez, 33, of Mesa, Ariz., they located his vehicle and found multiple stolen items, including DVDs, a watch, neck ties, batting gloves and bicycles, inside the vehicle. The total value of items was over $1,300. A majority of the items were taken from Walmart, police said.

A marijuana bong was also found in the vehicle.

Perez was found hiding in the bushes near the Interstate 15 ramp at Broadway, police said Monday.

Perez was arrested on charges of burglary, grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
