Police: Man Tased after pulling knife

A Pocatello man is being held without bond after an altercation with police Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, Damien Marshall McIntosh, 30, was in an argument with a woman living on East Sutter. McIntosh and the woman have a baby together. Police said McIntosh pulled a knife on a 15-year-old boy who tried to calm him down. McIntosh then grabbed the baby and ran into the house.

Police were called at 3:30 p.m. and entered the home, but McIntosh would not comply with commands or show his hands. They said McIntosh threatened officers with a knife.

Officers said McIntosh made verbal reference to another weapon and said he wanted access to it so police would shoot him. When he reached for his back pocket, police Tased him.

McIntosh was arrested on charges of aggravated assault.
