Teton Creek restoration bid awarded

A Teton Valley nursery has been awarded a contract for the final phase of the Teton Creek Restoration project.

Teton County, Idaho, will use a $1 million Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to contract with MD Nursery. Friends of the Teton River has also raised another $200,000 in grant funding to be used on the project.

The work will stabilize channels and stream banks upstream of the Aspen Pointe subdivision near Driggs.

Work on the final phase will begin in mid-July and should be largely complete by December 2013.
