Idaho Fish and Game wants your feedback in online chat

With Idaho’s current elk management plan being more than 12 years old, the Idaho Fish and Game Department has been working to revise it.

The effort was launched in late 2011. Officials at the department say the new strategies will be driven by public expectations and changes in elk population.

In order to find out what those expectations are, the department has planned online chats to talk to Idahoans about the ongoing revisions.

The chats are happening Wednesday and Thursday between 7 and 9 p.m.

Go to http://goo.gl/p70xp to connect to the online chat. Idahoans can register their email to get a reminder to join the chat just before it starts.

Chatters will learn about the process, can give their thoughts and will be able to ask questions to wildlife managers.

Fish and Game is also planning a series of regional open house meetings during April and May. The times and locations will be announced as soon as they are set.
Another way to stay informed about the process is to sign up for http://goo.gl/OdJYU.

Comments can also be submitted to wildlife managers at regional offices.

The e-mail is idfginfo@idfg.idaho.gov or the mailing address is Elk Plan Comments, P.O. Box 25, Boise ID 83707.
