Girl Scouts sending cookies to soldiers

A local Girl Scout troop wants to give our soldiers a little taste of home by sending them Girl Scout cookies, but they need your help.

Idaho Falls Troop 132 and the Military Affairs Committee are joining forces to make sure Girl Scout cookies are part of every care package that gets sent out.

Cookies can be donated by the box or by the case in any amount.

The scouts are also accepting donations to help cover the cost of shipping.

Troop 132 has been mailing cookies to soldiers for the last three years and scouts say it’s something they look forward to every year.

“My future brother-in-law and some of the other girl scouts siblings are in the military so we’ll send some to them and their bases,” said Kristen Ozaki, Girl Scout. “They really appreciate getting them and the notes we send with them.”

To place your order for military members, you can fill out an order form and drop it off at the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.
