Plane crashes in Rexburg

A pilot is unhurt after an airplane accident at the Rexburg Airport.

Police said Roy Webster, 55, of Rexburg, was practicing touch-and-goes in his aircraft at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

As the plane was headed south and touched down, a gust caused the plane to veer to the east. Webster tried to lift off, but the wheels caught a chain link fence and caused the aircraft to crash on its front end into the ground.

The airplane received front-end and wing damage.
