Emergency call sent to Idaho Falls residents for fugitive

The Bonneville County Sheriff Department issued an emergency call Sunday notifying people near Homestead Lane and Lariat Lane to stay inside their homes.

Around 9:55 a.m. deputies were looking for a fugitive suspected of stealing a car and burglary. About 30 minutes later authorities detained the man.

A witness said deputies are trying to tow the car out of the corner of Higbee Avenue and Hartert Drive after it was driven through a fence and into a backyard.
