6 vehicles involved in Highway 20 crash
A six-vehicle crash occurred Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 20 near Lone Pine Nursery outside of Rexburg.
Police aren’t saying a lot right now, but did say the accident happened in the construction area in the southbound lanes.
They did release information on some of the vehicles involved.
One car hit its brakes, and the car behind it, a PT Cruiser, didn’t slow down fast enough, running into the back of the other car.
The PT Cruiser caught on fire.
A little way back, a box truck wasn’t able to stop in time, and it ran into the back of a pickup, pushing it off the road.
Police said one person was taken to the hospital with minor injures.
Traffic had to be detoured while crews worked to clean up and investigated.
