2 arrested in vehicle burglaries

Lincoln County, Wyo., detectives may have resolved a number of vehicle burglaries over the past two weeks.

Sheriff Shane Johnson said 31-year-old Jason Williams, of Afton, was arrested Saturday on multiple charges, including burglary and unlawful use of a credit card. Kristen Cooper,28, of Afton, was arrested on similar charges relating to the same incidents on Sunday.

Detectives were investigating several car break-ins involving local and out-of-state victims between June 3 and 13. The thefts occurred in an area ranging from Intermittent Springs parking lot to Lunch Counter parking lot in the Snake River Canyon.

The sheriff’s office said several items have been recovered, including purses, and electronic devices. Stolen credit cards were also found along with items that were fraudulently bought with them.

Williams and Cooper were booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center.
