Planning Commission to look into proposed event center

The Idaho Falls Planning Commission will see the final plat for the future site of a proposed event center.

That site sits just east of Interstate 15, and west of Snake River Parkway and Pioneer Road.

If the planning commission approves the plat, it will go before the Idaho Falls City Council for final approval.

Once the lot is approved, project manager Clint Boyle said his team will finalize a design for the Idaho Falls Event Center. Preliminary designs have already been created.

The goal is to have a professional hockey team call the event center home.
