Bannock County enacts fireworks ban

Officials in Bannock County have issued a fireworks ban.

County commissioners voted Monday to ban lighting fireworks outside of city limits.

Although you can still light fireworks in Pocatello, city leaders said you need to be aware of your surroundings before setting them off, and use common sense.

If you are caught lighting off fireworks in a banned area, you could get a ticket

The ban takes effect starting Friday.
