Man arrested for injuring 2-year-old boy

A nearly five month investigation led to the arrest of Leroy Simpson, 29, on charges of aggravated battery in Idaho Falls Tuesday.

Idaho Falls Police began an investigation February 23 after a two year old boy was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with multiple bruises to his face and torso.

Investigators learned Simpson lived with the boy’s parents at a residence in the 200 block of South Water. Simpson was a friend of the boy’s father.

Police said they developed enough probable cause to arrest Simpson Tuesday.
