Passengers safe after rollover crash

Two people are lucky to be OK after crashing their camper on the side of Interstate 15.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Saturday.

The two were headed north when their SUV veered off the road by mile post 131, south of Roberts. The camper they were towing flipped and broke apart.

Both travelers told paramedics they didn’t need to go to the hospital, and stayed by their vehicle while police started their investigation of the crash.

The right, northbound lane was blocked while the wreck was cleaned up.

The Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy on the scene said the accident may have been weather-related, but investigators have not come to any conclusions as to what caused the crash.
