Dump truck goes over guardrail in US 20 crash

Idaho State Police are investigating a crash on U.S. Highway 20 at the County Line Road exit.

A dump truck went over the guardrail and down the side of the overpass embankment Monday afternoon.

At least two other vehicles were involved. The driver of the dump truck and three other people were taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

A hazardous materials team was at the crash site because diesel fuel is leaking onto the ground.

It appears the truck was southbound on the highway, went across the median and over the embankment in the northbound lane. The impact ripped the front axle out of the truck.

One northbound lane was closed, but has since been reopened.
