Group logs miles in honor of those who can’t
A group in Ammon has logged 28 miles over the past six weeks. The group of family and friends has crossed those miles by walking, running, biking or swimming.
But this has a emotional connection to them. Twenty-eight is also the number of years ago that Byron Walters was injured in an automobile accident. He’s been in a wheelchair ever since.
Last year, his sister Bethany Walters started Tri-N. It is an event to get people who have working bodies up and out exercising and doing something for those who can’t
“If you pay attention to those that can’t do those things, it’s important to remember how blessed we are, how lucky we are to have these, our healthy working bodies that we have,” said Bethany Walters. “And so that’s what we’re doing, is ‘Tri-N,’ using our bodies, in honor of people who can’t.”
She would like more people to be involved with Tri-N next year. Get more information at http://ballbethany.wix.com/tri-n.
