Man accused of threatening woman with knife

An Idaho Falls man threatened a woman with a knife early Sunday morning, police said.

Idaho Falls officers were called to the 400 block of Gladstone for a disturbance around 1 a.m. The 33-year-old victim said she and Eric E. Smith, 41, had been arguing Saturday evening. Smith grabbed her by her face and pushed her against a minivan, she said.

She then told police Smith left, but returned later and threatened her with a knife.

Smith was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
