Work center escapee found in Idaho Falls

An East Boise Community Work Center inmate who walked away from her job Friday is back in custody, the Idaho Department of Correction said.

Acting on a tip, Bonneville County sheriff’s deputies arrested Leah J. McCormack, 42, on Wednesday in Idaho Falls. She was taken into custody without incident.

McCormack, 42, was serving time for possession of a controlled substance in Bannock County and burglary in Bonneville County. She was scheduled to be released in September 2017 .

She now faces a possible escape charge.
