Fisherman rescued after fall into canyon
Search and Rescue units from two counties were called out Monday night to rescue a hurt fisherman.
The Fremont County Search Rescue said the 59-year-old man and his fishing partner were in the area of the confluence area of Bitch Creek and the Teton River near State Highway 32. One of the men slipped, lost his balance and fell, hurting his leg.
He was about 600 feet into the canyon when he was rescued by Fremont and Teton County Search and Rescue teams, which brought him out of the steep and rugged terrain.
