Boy riding in back of pickup dies
A boy riding in the back of a pickup died in the Squirrel area on Monday morning.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s County responded to the crash on 4300 East near 950 North eight miles east of Ashton around 11 a.m.
The sheriff’s office said Kevin Orme was driving the black Toyota pickup with his sons Cole and Gage.
Deputies said Cole was riding on a mattress in the back of a pickup. The pickup was going 25 mph when the mattress blew out, taking Cole with it. Cole struck his head on the pavement and died of head trauma.
