Steve Cannon
Born and raised in eastern Idaho, Steve attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduated from Idaho Falls High School and Ricks College; attended Brigham Young University and Idaho State University
He is extremely happily married to Mary Alice (Jensen) Cannon from Ucon, Idaho. They are the parents of five children, grandparents of six (soon to be seven) grandchildren. All of their children and grandchildren, with the exception of their No. 3 son Brian and his wife, Morgan (and their three “grand-dogs”) live in Eastern Idaho. Their grandchildren represent the sixth generation of their family to be born and raised in the Upper Snake River Valley. The Cannons are very proud of their roots.
Steve’s hobbies and interests are travel, reading, studying history, and especially spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Steve donates a lot of his time to the community. He is the founding and current member of the Idaho Falls Police Department’s Citizen’s Watch Patrol. He is a member (and past president) of the Idaho Falls Rotary Club. He is a member of the Skyline High School Character Education Coalition. He serves as a member of the Idaho Falls Family YMCA Board of Directors. He is also a past member of the Idaho Falls Symphony board of directors, Eastern Idaho Technical College Foundation board of directors and was chairman of the board from 2003 to 2004.
Steve is happy to be back at KIDK Channel 3 Eyewitness News doing what he loves, in a place he loves, for people he loves and appreciates!
