1 hospitalized in crash near Blackfoot

A man was hospitalized in a crash that blocked traffic near Blackfoot on Tuesday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m., Bronson Hill, 17, of Pingree, was traveling eastbound on State Highway 39 in a 1991 Nissan Sentra. Olivia Anderson, 17, of Blackfoot, was traveling westbound on State Highway 39 in a 1992 Ford Victoria. Idaho State Police said Hill was turning northbound into All American Gas when he failed to yield to Anderson.

Hill, who police said was not wearing his seat belt, was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Anderson was wearing her seat belt, police said.

All lanes were open before noon.
