Evacuation at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport
A scare at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport forced everyone to evacuate Saturday.
Idaho Falls Firefighters responded to reports of smoke coming from the airport lobby around 11 a.m. Saturday. According to Division Chief Brad Pettingill, the smoke had come from a small electrical fire outside the building. He said the fire was in a construction zone where crews are working on building an expansion for the airport.
Everyone was allowed back inside after firefighters searched the building for more fires and found nothing.
No injuries were reported and no flights were delayed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
