Spud Day kicks-off
The 85th annual Spud Day kicks-off this Saturday. The day will be filled with great food, crafts, games, amusement rides and entertainment.
Spud Day organizers want to invite everyone in the surrounding community to come out an participate. Spud Day Chair Chris Sheetz said its more than just a day of events.
“It’s just a time that we all come together. We get to kind of relax and enjoy, have a good time. Bring your family. Bring your friends. This just extends to the farther communities,” said Sheetz.
The celebration will include both traditional and new events with the mash potato tug of war as well as new performances from local artists.
