Former IT director stands silent on wiretapping charges

The former information technology director at Bingham Memorial Hospital appeared in court on charges of wiretapping Friday.

Jack York was charged with the three felony counts of interception of wire or oral communications when he was indicted by a grand jury in June.

York’s attorney, Anne Tayler, told the judge York will stand silent on the allegations.

Judge David Nye said he’s never had that happen before and entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

York is accused of setting up devices to record Dr. Robert Rosin’s office at the hospital.According to the indictment, it was set up between June 2009 and August 2010.

York was supposed to appear in court the same day as hospital CEO Louis Kraml.Kraml pleaded guilty to stalking charges on Aug. 16. Kraml was originally indicted on wiretapping charges by a grand jury, but was reduced in a plea deal with the attorney general’s office.

A status hearing is scheduled for York in November.
