Veterans recognize the lost

Families of veterans and other veteran associations met to recognize those missing in action and prisoners of war Friday.

The Military Affairs Association spoke at the event. They said they are recognizing all those that have been lost since Word War I. They also recognized a more recent POW from Idaho who was fighting in Afghanistan.

The Association Chairman Mike McLendon said the association will continue its search for lost veterans.

“We are looking for them, there are people out there looking for them all the time and we’re having remains returned to their loved ones constantly. The most recent one was from World War II,” said McLendon.
