One Dead in Roll-Over Accident Near Inkom

One person died in an accident north of Inkom Sunday evening.

Idaho State Police say at around 5pm there was an SUV that rolled over near the intersection of Rapid Creek Road and Inman Road in Bannock County.

A late 1980’s Toyota 4runner driven by 20-year-old Austin Robinson of Idaho Falls was traveling south on Rapid Creek. Police say he drove off the road onto the right shoulder and over-corrected, causing the SUV to roll-over. The SUV came to rest on the opposite side of the roadway.

Two passengers were in the vehicle with Robinson, one passenger died at the crash. The other passenger along with Robinson were transported to Portneuf Medical Center.

Idaho State Police has not released the name of thedeceased to the media, pending notification of family.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
