Zombie run helps track team

Students at Rigby High School prepared for their 5K Zombie Run Saturday. The track team filled bags with contestant numbers and shirts for runners.

The school is raising money for its track team because of harsh budget cuts. Those cuts make it more expensive for students to participate in after-school activities.

In the midst of these hard fiscal times, Rigby’s track coach, James Parrish, believes the race will make a big difference for the team.

“We have great support in this town. Rigby really believes in its track program and a combination of theses things made the race an ideal opportunity for us,” said Parrish.

The race was at Squealers Corn Maze in Rigby Saturday evening.
