Woman dies in collision near Fort Hall

Idaho State Police are investigating a car crash near Fort Hall that claimed the life of a Pocatello woman.

The accident happened a little past 2 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes on Interstate 15 at milepost 77.

Kristen M. Menta, 24, of Pocatello, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 was traveling north on Interstate 15 when she crossed over into the southbound lanes and struck a 2011 Freightliner driven by Teresa M. Crisp, 51, of Lethbridge, Alberta, ISP said.

Menta died at the accident.

Troopers said Menta was not wearing a seat belt, and Crisp was wearing a seat belt. The crash is being investigated by the ISP and the Fort Hall Police Department.
