Idaho Falls planning director retires

After 24 years with the City of Idaho Falls, planning director Renee Magee retired Friday.

She says in her role as planning director, she’s helped bring about some big changes to the city. Most notably, she says she succeeded in transforming the area between I-15 and the Snake River.

“We’ve gone from open storage and salvage yards to having retail businesses, additional motels and restaurants,” Magee said. “Essentially, we now have a heart to the city of Idaho Falls.”

Magee will be succeeded by Brad Cramer, the assistant planning director.
