Traffic stop leads to drug arrests on I-86

A traffic stop on Interstate 86 ended with a drug bust Friday morning.
This stop happened around 10 a.m. near Raft River when an Idaho State Police trooper stopped the car for a minor traffic violation.
During the stop the trooper found about 5 pounds of marijuana, a small amount of hashish and more than an ounce of mushrooms.
The driver, Michael Griffith, 28, of Billings, Mont., was arrested on charges of trafficking of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to purchase a drivers license and fail to maintain insurance. Passenger Jordan Beyl, 19, also of Billings, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
They are being held in the Mini-Cassia Jail.
