Soda Springs man dies in wreck
A man from Soda Springs died in a head-on collision early Sunday on Highway 30. Idaho State Police troopers said it happened at 5 a.m. at milepost 377, two miles east of Fish Creek Summit.
Daman Stoddard, 39, of Soda Springs was driving west on the highway when he drove off the right shoulder. ISP said he overcorrected and crossed into the oncoming lane of travel. His vehicle was hit by a GMC driven by Trevor Muir of Soda Springs. ISP said neither driver was wearing seat belts. Stoddard died at the scene; Muir was not injured.
