Two arrested in apartment break-in
Two Pocatello men were arrested Wednesday night on charges of robbery and aggravated battery after police said they tried to break into an apartment.
Pocatello police said Jeremy Lynn Sanderson, 30, and Tilden Chet Carter, 29, forced their way into an apartment on West Fremont Street. They said one of the pair had a knife.
A man inside the apartment tried to block the door, but was cut by a knife as the two forced their way into the apartment, officers said. The suspects allegedly ordered other people inside to lie down on the floor while the two men tried to take something out of the apartment.
Police said the stabbing victim chased the men out of the apartment. He was treated for superficial cuts.
A neighbor called police.
Carter was arrested as he tried to run away from the apartment at 7:40 p.m. Sanderson was arrested at 8:12 p.m. on North Seventh Avenue.
Both were being held in the Bannock County Jail.
Police would not release further details, including what the suspects allegedly tried to take from the apartment.
