House burns in Jackson Hole
Fire destroyed a home in the Teton County, Wyoming Bar B C subdivision Sunday evening.
Jackson Hole Fire EMS said a woman and her dog were home when the fire started around 5:15 p.m., but escaped unhurt. She was not identified.
According to reports, the fire spread from the walls of the home to the crawl space and exited through the roof.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Forty firefighters monitored the fire in subzero temperatures until about 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Two fire engines, one ladder truck, five tenders and numerous other support vehicles, including a Grand Teton National Park fire engine and crew, were used to fight the fire. START provided a mini-bus that provided a warming station for firefighters.
